Qrops market suffers big hit, further falls expected
The number of Qrops transfers last year dropped to the lowest level since 2010/11 and is expected to fall further on the back of the UK Government's 25% charge, as the amount of money accessed via the pensions freedoms hits a record high. Between 6 April 2016 and 5 April 2017, there were around 9,700 qualifying recognised overseas pension scheme (Qrops) transfers collectively worth £1.22bn ($1.59bn, €1.36bn).
