Mike Foxall

A graduate from Warwick University with a BA Hons in History and Sociology, Mike has spent nearly three decades working in Financial Services, during which time he attained his Financial Planning Certificate. Mike has spent the last 15 years as a specialist focusing purely on international insured tax wrapper solutions.

Mike has represented providers in Isle of Man, Dublin and Luxembourg and has helped design, launch and evolve several specialist insurance products. During this time, Mike has run numerous seminar programmes, delivering the crucial technical and market knowledge to help advisers better understand these evolving international structures.

Mike represents QB Partners at the Association of International Life Offices (AILO) and heads up AILO's Proposition and Customer Outcome's committee. Mike leads on QB Partners' consultancy work with insurance companies and in technical support to professional advisers on wealth insurance products.

Mike lives in Ireland and is available to meet with Irish based advisers to discuss QB Partner's proposition.
John Clare

John has worked in the Financial Services Industry since leaving full time education. Whilst working as a Paraplanner for a small Financial Advisory firm, where he was later promoted to Financial Consultant, John acquired the CISI International Certificate in Wealth Management. John is now studying to progress with the CII Certificate in Pension Transfer Advice and Diploma in Regulated Financial Advice, having already passed a number of the modules.

John also gained valuable experience working with Financial Advisers at one of the leading Offshore Life Assurance companies, making him a good fit for the role of IFA Support.

John is responsible for supporting our sales team and assisting Financial Advisers, and along with Meghan is the initial point of contact for new enquiries from IFAs.

John is based in the Isle of Man and is available to meet with advisers locally to discuss QB Partner's proposition.
Donna Lace

Donna started working with QB Partners in January 2023.

Donna has worked for the last 21+ years in Financial Services, primarily in the Life Assurance Sector for a large Life Assurance Company. During this time, Donna has gained a wealth of experience in dealing with clients, Financial Advisers and Consultants, and she prides herself on providing an excellent customer service to all.

Donna also holds RSA certifications in Administrative and Secretarial Procedures.

Alongside Meghan, Donna’s primary role is to assist and support Financial Advisers and the QB Partners team in new business and administration.
Tom White

Tom has graduated in the Summer of 2020 with a First Class Honours from Sheffield Hallam University, having undertaken a Business Management degree. He has previous experience in the Financial Services sector, having worked for three companies in the Isle of Man, both full time and part time. This included working for a year as an accounts trainee at a large trust company on the Island. Tom has worked with QB Partners before, during his work experience in 2013.

Scott joined with QB Partners in August 2018 as a Trust and Estate Planning Consultant. Scott is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, Chartered Financial Planner and law graduate. He has a broad background in financial planning with large financial services organisations both in the UK and internationally and is well known in the international financial services market.

Scott is a will writer as a member of the Society of Will Writers. He is also studying towards the ADIT (Advanced Diploma in International Taxation) qualification. Scott lives in Swansea and is available to meet with advisers in the South Wales area to discuss QB Partners’ proposition.

Kevin has 40 years’ experience in the life & pensions industry. He specialises in estate planning and supports financial advisers in a number of areas including:

A scheme to register trusts with the TRS for financial advisers, this also provides important commentary on priority actions for trustees.

A service to review an adviser firms approach to trust & estate planning. This starts with a comprehensive review of an adviser firms back book. It goes on to help firms build a model to ensure advisers have greater consistency in how they handle estate planning cases.

Kevin can also support advisers with complex estate planning cases using models where a fee is agreed for a report or where required support can be time costed.

Kevin is based in South Manchester and is available to meet with advisers in the North West to discuss QB Partner's proposition.

Gerry Brown
Trust and Estate Planning Consultant

Gerry started his professional career as an Inspector of Taxes in what was then the Inland Revenue. On leaving, he worked as a tax specialist for a number of accountancy practices, also qualifying as a Chartered Accountant.

Gerry also has an Economics degree and ia post graduate cerificate in Law. He is AFPC qualified and an Associate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Planners.

In the mid 1990s Gerry joined a large UK life office where he provided technical support on a wide variety of matters and assisted in the development of a number of bond-trust arrangements widely used in IHT planning. He has written extensively for the 'trade' and professional press on a variety of tax related issues.

Gerry is based in Edinburgh.
David White
Managing Director

David is a founding director of the business and the major shareholder.

David has over 40 years experience in the financial services industry, with over half of that being spent offshore. David's technical background was in pensions, and he has been a SSAS pensioneer trustee and a staff pension scheme trustee as well as running personal and executive pensions. After that David's career developed into various management roles. From 1999 to 2004 David ran the Far East operation of a leading offshore life assurance company.

From 2004 to 2008 David was Sales Director of the same company and gained a significant amount of experience in the QROPS market over that period, prior to establishing The QROPS Bureau as a specialist in this area and other forms of overseas pensions planning.

David is a Chartered Insurer and holds the ACII qualification.

David is responsible for the overall running of QB Partners and the ultimate delivery of the service and solutions which QB Partners offer to their members and other professional advisers. David is based in the Isle of Man and is available to meet with advisers and providers locally to discuss QB Partner's proposition.
David Stephenson

David has worked in the Life & Pensions industry for 30 years mainly in intermediary sales, including the offshore bond market, during which time he attained the Financial Planning Certificate. For the last 12 years prior to joining QB Partners, he worked for one of the leading SIPP providers, based in Central London .

David brings to us a good deal of technical expertise in UK pensions particularly in the transfer / drawdown area. This means he can offer excellent judgement on the merits of offshore solutions when comparing these to a client's current UK situation.

David is responsible for developing IFA relationships in the London and South East areas.

Sue Young

Sue started working with QB Partners in January 2019 in the role of Personal Assistant to our Business Development Director.

Before starting work at QB Partners Sue has worked for the last 35 years in the local finance industry,mainly in the Corporate Service Provider sector, in the roles of Personal Assistant and Administrator. Latterly, for the last 10 years, Sue has worked as a Senior Corporate Administrator dealing with the daily administration of Company and Trust structures for clients.

Sue’s main role is to assist and support the rest of the team in new business and administration.
