Retirement of Bob Easton and appointment of Kevin Raftery

QB Partners have announced the departure of their Head of Trust and Estate Planning, Bob Easton, who has retired after a career of 44 years, to spend more time with his expanding family. Bob's second granddaughter has just been born and he has another grandchild on the way.

David White, Managing Director of QB Partners said

"I have known and worked with Bob for many years and as I often say, he is the cleverest person I know (no offence meant to anyone else I know!). He is also a true gentleman in every sense of the word. It is hard to believe that Bob is at retirement age, he certainly doesn't look or act it and has a fantastic amount of energy, professionalism and enthusiasm for his work and everything else he does.

Developing and broadening out the focus of QB Partners has not been without its challenges, but we are now recognized and established as an industry leading independent technical service - we would not have been able to do this without Bob's contribution. All of us at QB Partners would like to thank Bob for his support and friendship and to wish him a long, healthy and happy retirement - he will be much missed".

Bob Easton said "Its been a privilege and joy to work with QB Partners. David and Andy have a great team and a thriving business that has identified and is filling a significant gap in the market for independent and professional technical support to advisers. Its been a fitting way to bring my career to an end by passing on the knowledge I have acquired over many decades into safe hands and for a worthy purpose. I'm sure that, under David's direction and with the team's enthusiasm and drive, the business will go on from strength to strength."

Appointment of Kevin Raftery

Following the retirement of Bob Easton, QB Partners have announced the appointment of Kevin Raftery as Trust and Estate Planning Consultant. Kevin has 40 years' experience in the life & pensions industry, during which he has specialised in tax planning with a particular emphasis on estate planning.

David White, Managing Director of QB Partners said

"I am delighted that Kevin has agreed to join QB Partners as we continue to develop our independent technical support service for financial advisers and product providers. Kevin has a wealth of experience in delivering training, dealing with problem cases and helping advisers develop professional connections. He is very experienced and knowledgeable in all areas of estate planning, with a focus on helping advisers review their estate planning processes and in estate administration.

Kevin is based in the North West and once restrictions are lifted will be available to meet with advisers in his area to discuss the services he can offer and QB Partners broader proposition. Kevin will also be supporting advisers working with QB Partners in other parts of the world together with Scott Hood.

QB Partners are building an extremely strong team of technical consultants with expertise in a number of areas of financial planning, allowing us to provide true holistic support to professional advisers and product providers. On this note, we hope to be announcing a further appointment in the coming months which will add further depth of knowledge and experience to our proposition."
